COLUMBIA-GREENE COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES $500,000 GRANT FROM THE HRBT FOUNDATION
HUDSON, NY — The Columbia-Greene Community College Foundation recently received $500,000 from the HRBT Foundation. The grant will be instrumental in widening the availability of scholarships and financial support for full-time and part-time students residing in Columbia and Greene Counties.
Carl Florio, President of the HRBT Foundation, stated, “The Board members and I are pleased to be able to offer scholarship assistance to students in need and help them stay on track to earn a college degree or certificate and ultimately increase their opportunities for future success.”
“The Foundationwas proud to distribute nearly $850,000 in scholarship funds last year. The opportunity to add this generous funding from HRBT to our financial aid pool will be life-changing for so many additional students,” said Foundation Board Chair Dr. Nicolette Sacco-Brown. Funds will be distributed starting in the summer semester and continue to support students throughout the 2024-2025 academic year.
“With so many students and their families continuing to face financial insecurity in this post-pandemic era, scholarship support is more important than ever,” added Dr. Carlee Drummer, President of Columbia-Greene Community College. “Scholarships empower students to make the most of their time at the College and graduate debt-free.”
